Building Stronger Local Food Networks in Our Community

GROWING HEALTHY SUSTAINABLE FOOD FOR THE NORTHUMBERLAND, DURHAM & SCARBOROUGH COMMUNITIES

What's Happening on the Farm this Season

It's early summer on the farm, and we're now in full swing with our CSA Farm Boxes & Cobourg Farmer's Market Saturdays

With the mild winter & unseasonably warm spring we had, our crops took off fast and were soon bursting with vibrant scarlet kale & rainbow chard, humongous kohlrabi & bok choy, and spring green garlic that are almost as big as mature garlic!! Fun varieties like our Golden & Candy Cane Beets are doing great with our specialty Dragon's Lingerie Bush Beans around the corner.

This year we launched some special items not included in our CSA Farm Boxes - our Packaged Salads with our own farm-made dressings, and our Specialty Mushrooms from our new indoor, climate-controlled grow room. Both will be available to buy in our Online Shop & at the Farmer's Market.

Every week, we're picking and packing new varieties from the field to bring our fresh, organic produce straight to you. We're looking forward to another great season with the Northumberland, Durham & Scarborough communities! Hope to see you soon!

Connecting with Our Community

We believe in the power of community to support & champion local food networks.
Connecting people with their food is at the heart of everything we do.

Fare Share Food Bank

We proudly donate produce every year, over 4000lbs to date, to the Fare Share Food Bank to help them in their mission is to alleviate hunger within Northumberland County by providing access to food for those in need.

Cobourg Farmer's Market

It's always a joy to see people's faces light up when they arrive at our colourful spread of fresh organic veggies every Saturday at the Cobourg Farmer's Market, or grin when our son Lucas is hawking his fresh baked cookies over the vegetables. The Cobourg Market community is so welcoming & high-spirited and we enjoy connecting & trading goods with other local vendors every year!

University Health Network Social Medicine Centre

We are excited to be contributors to a first-in-Canada initiative for a Social Medicine Supportive Housing project in Parkdale, Toronto. We donate produce to the UHN Social Medicine Centre and offer a no-pay market-style experience for residents to ensure their healthcare journey is supported with access to healthy, nutritious food.
This program is in partnership with the City of Toronto, Toronto University Health Network, Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine, and United Way Greater Toronto.

Education & Outreach

We love getting people excited about local & organic farming with engaging educational connections, from kindergarten, elementary, and high school classes in local schools, to community groups like horticultural societies & gardening clubs, rotary clubs or environmental groups. Whether it's an in-person talk about growing organic & protecting biodiversity, a video call direct from the fields to show how we farm, or donating seedlings for interactive science projects, we are always open to sharing our passion with others!
